A face lift is a cosmetic procedure done to reduce the signs of aging in the face and neck. A facelift is also known as Rhytidectomy. A face lift corrects problems such as:

  • Sagging in the face
  • Deep lines or creases below the eyelids or along the nose and mouth
  • Loss of muscle or loose skin
  • Excessive fat around the chin or jaw (double chins)

A face lift can only be performed surgically. People can choose from traditional facelift, a facelift with limited incisions or a neck lift.

In a traditional facelift, the incision is generally made at the hairline, around the ear, and at the base of the scalp. The fat is then either removed or redistributed around the face and neck. The skin is draped over the face, chin and neck and excess skin is trimmed off. The incisions are closed off with sutures or skin adhesives.

You must consult a board certified physician to determine if a face lift is for you. Contact us today for a no-obligation consultation to determine if a face lift is for you.
