Vascular lesions may be acquired lesions or ones that have been present at birth or immediately after birth. Vascular lesions including telangiectasias, angiomas, spider veins.

Telangiectasias are small blood vessels that can be anywhere on the body but are mostly found near the nose, cheeks, and chin. They may also be found on the legs; near the upper thigh, below the knee joint, or around the ankles.

Angiomas are benign tumors that may appear near the surface of the skin anywhere on the body.

Spider veins are small veins that show up near the surface of the skin and are red or blue. They look like spiderwebs or tree branches. They may also be on the legs and face. Spider veins are not the same as varicose veins.

All these vascular lesions can be treated with our Cool Glide laser now using a topical anesthetic. There may be multiple treatments needed over a period of a few weeks. Patients are advised to avoid sun tanning and some may need to wear compression stockings temporarily. Contact our office for a consultation today.
